Chiefs and constituents of Ejisu Constituency in the Ashanti Region are pleading with the former Member of Parliament for Ejisu, Ing. Kwabena Owusu-Aduomi to contest the vacant parliamentary seat in the impending by-election.
They have pledged their support for the former lawmaker, pointing to what they described as unprecedented, the level of developments he brought to the Constituency during his tenure as a Member of Parliament.
The chiefs, headed by the Omanhene of Ejisu, Oguakro Afrane Okese, invited the Road Engineer to his Palace to commend and persuade him to stage a comeback and contest the Ejisu parliamentary seat, which became vacant, following the demise of the former Member of Parliament, Deputy Finance Minister.
Residents in the area, who credited the former MP with good roads in the area, said Kwabena Owusu-Aduomi is the rightful choice for the seat.
Ejisu Youth lauded Owusu Aduomi for efforts in developing the constituency.
They described him as a unique politician and legislator Ejisu constituency has ever had, and wished that he takes appropriate steps to contest and represent the constituents in parliament.
