New NSA boss Yaw Ampofo Ankrah confident in impactful change
[caption id=attachment_425229 align=alignnone width=336] Yaw Ampofo Ankrah[/caption]Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, the newly appointed Director General of the National Sports Authority (NSA), is confident that intentional leadership can drive impactful change in Ghana's sports development.Ampofo Ankrah, a veteran sports broadcaster, acknowledged the challenges facing the sector, including poor infrastructure management, which led to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium being banned from hosting CAF Category Three matches.However, he expressed optimism about the NSA's ability to effect change.The good news is that we have the brains and the people to make the changes. The challenge has been the willingness to cross that line and to make the changes.Ampofo Ankrah revealed that the NSA will follow a government roadmap aimed at developing the sports sector.There's a roadmap and if we follow that roadmap, we will clearly be able to see what we need to do to see a clear direction for growth.
