
President of the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA), Moses Hassim Mongogo has stated that qualifying for Russia 2018 World Cup is not the nation's priority.
According to the nation's football governing body head, the Cranes are using the remaining games in the qualifying phase to prepare adequately for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
“It is not the main aim of FUFA to qualify Cranes of Uganda to the World Cup, but to prepare the team to compete in the 2019 African Cup of Nations,” he intimated on Otec FM.
The Black Stars of Ghana will engage the Uganda Cranes at the Mandela National Stadium in Namboole on Saturday.
