Real Tamale United player Tophic Alolo has been handed a four-match ban for assaulting a referee in their Division One League match against Tamale Utrecht.
The experienced player was found guilty by the the Disciplinary Committee for misconduct.
Alolo denied assault the referee but admitted raising his voice at the centre but pleaded for clemency.
Real Tamale United have made a bright start this season; leading the Zone I table with 18 points.
