Gold Fields Ghana Foundation stood tall over the weekend as it swept some of the highest honours at the 2025 Sustainability and Social Investment (SSI) Awards, cementing its reputation as one of Ghana’s most impactful and community-driven corporate foundations.

The Foundation capped the night with the ultimate prize; SSI Foundation/Company of the Year-an award that recognises organisations whose investments have significantly transformed lives and advanced sustainable development across the country.
Its impressive showing continued with a collection of awards that highlighted the breadth of its social impact. From education and water to health and sports, Gold Fields’ initiatives were acknowledged as models of excellence.
The organisation was celebrated for its Tarkwa and Abosso (TNA) Stadium Project, earning the Best Company in Supporting Sports Development award. Its Group Legacy Programme in Health also won Best Company in Supporting Health Facilities, while its investment in Small Town Water Systems for communities such as Badukrom, Huniso, Akoon and Fiaseman SHS secured the Best Company in Clean Water Provision category.

The Foundation’s continuous effort to improve community well-being through medical outreach programmes won it the Best Health Awareness Programme, and its long-standing scholarship scheme earned the award for Best Company in Supporting Education.
The Executive Secretary of the Foundation, Mr. Abdel Razak Yakubu, was honoured with the distinguished Sustainability Professional of the Year award.

The recognition reflects his leadership, commitment, and strategic drive in shaping Gold Fields’ social investment blueprint -one that continues to uplift host communities and set new standards for responsible corporate citizenship.
The SSI Awards honour organizations and personalities delivering exceptional impact in sustainability and social investment, and Gold Fields Ghana Foundation’s sweep this year reinforces its place as a leader in community development.
