The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of EIB Network, and Empire Foundation, Nathan Kwabena Anokye Adisi, popularly known as Bola Ray, has emphasised his commitment to continue using his platforms to give a voice to the voiceless, uplift others and champion causes that would improve the lives of Ghanaians.
According to him, throughout his career, he has strived to not only support education initiatives and empower young entrepreneurs but has also advocated for gender equality and promoted African talent.
“When I embarked on this journey, I had a dream– a dream to revolutionise the media, arts and entertainment industry and to create platforms that would not only entertain but also empower and inspire. Today, as we look back on the past 25 years, I am humbled by the incredible impact we have been able to make. I have sought to make a positive impact in every way possible and together with my team we have made a difference in the lives of many and will continue to do so,” he added.
He made these remarks during the launch of the foundation’s initiative labelled Entrepreneurship with Bola Ray in Accra.
The Entrepreneurship with Bola Ray is a comprehensive start-up support program designed to empower 25 deserving entrepreneurs under 30 years old. The initiative focuses on providing essential pillars of support including funding, training, mentorship, branding and marketing, and bookkeeping.
As part of the Bola Ray Impact @ 25 celebrations, the inspiring initiative which is in collaboration with the European Union (EU) in Ghana aims at fostering innovation, creating opportunities and empowering the next generation of leaders.
Its goal is to nurture and elevate young talents who are passionate about building impactful businesses but lack crucial resources and guidance.
“In line with the celebration, we are pleased to announce the launch of an entrepreneurship scheme aimed at nurturing and empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs. This initiative, in partnership with the EU, is designed to provide aspiring entrepreneurs with the necessary resources, guidance and support to turn their ideas into successful ventures,” he elaborated.
By offering hands-on experience and guidance, he added that his outfit will equip the next generation of entrepreneurs with the tools they need to succeed.
To foster entrepreneurial spirit, he further noted that beneficiaries will benefit from mentoring and work experience programmes.
“As part of our commitment to fostering the entrepreneurial spirit, we have also developed plans for mentoring and work experience programmes. These initiatives are aimed at providing aspiring entrepreneurs with the chance to learn from experienced industry professionals, gain valuable insights, and acquire practical skills that are essential for navigating the complexities of the business world.” he elaborated.
Through mentorship programmes, networking opportunities and access to capital, he assured that the Entrepreneurship with Bola Ray initiative will cultivate an ecosystem where innovation thrives and entrepreneurship is celebrated.
As a philanthropist and an accomplished businessman, he noted that his journey exemplifies how an entrepreneurial spirit can drive change and make a profound impact on the world. “Entrepreneurship is about cultivating a mind-set of creativity, adaptability and perseverance. It is about identifying opportunities, taking calculated risks and creating value that transcends traditional boundaries,” he added.
He was grateful to his team members for sharing in his vision.
“Throughout my career, I have been blessed to work with a team of dedicated and talented individuals who have shared my vision and passion. Together, we have overcome challenges, broken barriers and pushed the boundaries of what was once thought to be impossible. I am eternally grateful for your unwavering support and commitment,” he elaborated.
The EU Ambassador to Ghana His Excellency, Irchad Razaaly, lauded the initiative and said it is in line with the union’s goal to support job creation.
The elated beneficiaries of the initiative thanked the CEO of the EIB Network for the numerous opportunities.
