The State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA) has appointed Millicent Atuguba as its new Deputy Managing Director (Operations), bringing her extensive experience in communications, governance, and public sector management to the role.
With over 15 years of experience in brand strategy, public relations, and stakeholder engagement, Atuguba has played key roles in both the public and private sectors.
She began her career as a journalist with Ghana Television in 2005, eventually co-hosting the network’s breakfast show.
She later became the pioneer Corporate Communications Manager and spokesperson for RLG Ghana, where she collaborated with government agencies to implement the ICT module of Ghana’s Youth Employment Programme (NYEP).
In 2015, Atuguba joined the Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) as a Public Relations officer, where she spearheaded major PR initiatives, redefined corporate communication strategies, and enhanced stakeholder engagement.
She currently serves as the Head of Stakeholder Engagement at GRIDCo and is also an adjunct Public Relations lecturer at the University of Professional Studies (UPSA) in Accra.
Her appointment at SIGA is expected to strengthen the agency’s operational efficiency and oversight of state-owned enterprises, reinforcing its mandate to ensure accountability and improved governance in the management of public assets.
