A 29 year old teacher Regina Mantey has been found dead in her rented apartment at Asesewa in the Manya Krobo District of the Eastern region.
She was found dead kneeling with head resting on the bed, semi decomposed with blood stains on the floor.
Police account indicates the deceased who is a tenant informed her landlord, Moses Tetteh that she was travelling to her hometown for holidays on April 15, 2018.
The landlord said at about 4.00 pm on April 18,2018, he sensed a bad odour in the house with flies coming from the deceased’s room.
Efforts to call her on phone proved futile.
The deceased door was forcibly broken into and she was found dead.
The police said after a search in the deceased room, nothing suspicious was found .
The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Asesewa Government Hospital morgue for preservation, pending conveyance to the Police Hospital for autopsy.
